Carol asks…

Offering a settlement on a Payday Loan?

Can anyone advise if it’s possible to offer a settlement amount to a payday lender?

Loans Guide answers:

You can always offer; but for the most part these people are the lenders of last resort (read that leaches) and it’s doubtful they will settle; but it can’t hurt to try.

Mary asks…

Has anyone actually found a lender for someone with fair credit? other than a payday loan?

we need a loan to consolidate a car cash loan that is killing us in interest and costing us $400 a month and that is just interest. (well very little of it is principal) We need 1500 that can be paid back at maybe $200 or even $300 a month with a reasonable amount going to principal.

Michael asks…

What would make someone justify going to a predatory lender such as a high interest payday loan?

Loans Guide answers:

Sometimes it’s just because you have an emergency and need immediate money. My cousin fell into this trap and him and his wife are in debt now. Those payday companies are ridiculous.

Laura asks…

how do you do a payday loan and connect with a real lender and not a solicitation company?

Loans Guide answers:

Impossible. You’re better off taking a cash advance from your credit card than dealing with those payday loan creeps.

Your Questions About Payday Loan Lenders Only

George asks…

Can payday lender really do this?

I took out a loan from one click cash for 250 dollars last year to help with an unexpected vet. bill when my dog got sick. I paid the ENTIRE loan including fees, and interest back when the debited my account for six weeks like they were suppose to. Two months later they started debiting my account again. I contacted them numerous times, and never could get anywhere with them so I just closed my checking account, and opened up another one. Somehow they got my account and routing number for my new acct., and started debiting it as well. Now not only did I pay all of the loan back, but somehow they are debiting my new checking acct. w/out my permission. First how would they get that info., and how did they even debit it when they didn’t have permission nor a reason from me? I have already reported it to my bank and they are dealing with it, but this really makes me mad b/c they caused me to o/draft, and my rent check bounced.

Loans Guide answers:

I would calmly explain to them that they have seven days to provide documentation of EVERY penny. Tell them if they fail to justify or return the money in that time, your attorney will contact them. You always wanted to OWN a payday lender.

Thomas asks…

Bad credit cash advances?

Due to medical expenses we have fallen behind on bills, rent, utilities etc. My credit score is not very good because of these recent problems. I have been trying to get a payday loan. Friends have reccomended a few websites. Each one I go to says they will match me with a lender. I fill out the application and get redirected to another website that says they will match me with a lender. Does anyone know of a legitimate website to directly apply for a payday loan? I am only in need of $1000 to cover the rest of this months rent.

Loans Guide answers:

I’ve never seen a payday loan offered for more than $500. I believe medical expenses are either #1 or #2 of the leading causes of bankruptcy. IMO, perhaps you should consider bankruptcy. Those medical expenses would be wiped clean and you could have a fresh start. Plenty of people have rebounded from bankruptcy, too.

In regards to your medical bills, you can cut a deal with the hospital/physician billing people. This is exactly what insurance companies do, so why shouldn’t you be able to? When you have insurance and they tell you it will be $100k for a kidney transplantation, do you really think that’s how much the insurance company paid? No, they told the hospital what is the lowest amount of money you are willing to take for this operation. A lot of Americans don’t know that if they can’t pay their medical bills, call them up and cut a deal. Tell them what you can pay and they can take it or leave it. If they are smart, they will take what you can pay and avoid you going bankrupt where they get nothing out of you.

This is a little bit of a sour issue for me because I just don’t understand why the wealthiest nation on earth can’t provide affordable health care to those who need it. Even small countries like Sweden have basic systems that work… In Sweden there is a cap at $100 for outpatient services, $230 on prescriptions and $10/day on inpatient services…

Carol asks…

Grammar check please?

The interest rates on payday loans are always higher than regular loans because they are risky for the lender and only last a couple of weeks.

Loans Guide answers:

Not bad, but this would be better: The interest rates on payday loans are always higher than those on regular loans because payday loans are risky for the lender and last only a couple of weeks

Your Questions About Payday Loans Online Direct Lenders

December 20, 2011 by Loans Guide

Donna asks…

Does anyone know of a true online lender or payday loan who will really deposit funds within 24 hours?

I have tried to apply for a payday loan online to no avail. It seems that all of the payday loan companies accept your information and then send a request for additional applications over and over. No one approves or denies. I am tired of all the applications over and over. Has anyone had success with a lender or payday loan company with fast approval online and deposit within 24 hours, with no credit check or faxing etc.? I do have direct deposit. Please help?

Loans Guide answers:

They are all scams. Go into town and check with one in town.

Any site listed here will be spam, reported, and then get deleted.

Donald asks…

What do you think about these fast cash loans/payday loans..etc??

I have been researching these fast cash loans/payday loans, but I am still not sure if I want to trust them. They make it sound so easy to just get cash overnight! I need to get a loan for at least $1,500-$2,000 and I get paid every 2 weeks! You fill out the online app., which asks you, When is your next payday? Do you have direct deposit and things of that nature. You put your phone number so that a lender can call you and let you know if you will get the loan and discusses other things with you. sometimes you have to fax info that they ask for and with some you don’t!! What I need to know, is “Are these fast cash loans/payday loans/quick cash…etc” on the up and up??? Or is it just a scam??? I don’t wantto be screwed over, if you know what I mean!! Thanx!!

Loans Guide answers:

Lets face it, if you need to use a payday loan company, you need money fast, and dont have many other options. That means you are a risk, and that’s why they charge high interest rates. If you’re not that type, but just need quick cash, then fine, use a payday loan place, pay a few bucks for the convenience, and call it a day. They exist for a purpose. Fast, and easy cash. They take the risks, and they hold up their end of the bargain. If you do the same, you will be happy.

Good luck.

George asks…

Does anybody know where can I get a small payday loan?

I’ve been searching online but all I get is those annoying sites that look for lenders. I need a direct lender that can approve me on the spot. doe anyone have any suggestions?

Loans Guide answers:

Never ever go to a payday lender. How much do you need? Is it really enough to warrant paying more than you’re borrowing? If you absolutely have to have a loan for a set amount of money, go to a trusted financial institution and ask for their rates – right now personal loans are around 9-15% interest, min. Loan at $500-1000 dollars. If you have money in a financial institution, ask them about a share or deposit secured loan. My financial institution is currently offering those loans at 2% above the rate you are earning in interest on that account.

Helen asks…

Do you know of a direct short term loan, or payday advance site that doesn’t have a high processing fee.?

That is fast and can work with a person with ok credit but has had the same a job for over 6 years with direct deposit which I can get online? All I find is ads that will get me to a lender. Which never happens.I don’t need a big loan.

Loans Guide answers:

If you are heck bent on getting a quick payday type of loan, go to a payday place that actually has a store front in your town!!! Payday loans don’t care about your credit. They just want paycheck stubs, utility bill, references, bank statements, and your check book.

The storefront payday loan places don’t charge a processing fee, but they do charge upwards of 400% interest for a loan you will be taking for at max 28 to 30 days. Also, most payday lenders are capped at lending you $425. You would have to pay back $500. You also need to have proof of income to pay that amount back. Just because they can loan up to $425 doesn’t mean everyone qualifies for that amount. If you don’t make the required amount for the $425 it will be less.

Be wary of the online payday lenders. They will debit the heck out of your account without mercy. Many people have had their accounts drained, overdrawn, and have had to close them in order to stop the blood letting!

Maria asks…

Where can I get a payday loan that uses a debit card?

I have a direct deposit account with Net Spend. I want to get a pay day loan online. other than speedy cash, is there any other lenders?

Your Questions About Payday Loans In Pa

November 30, 2011 by Loans Guide

Jenny asks…

payday loans?

In my last question that I posted- I mentioned that I have a payday loan, I live in Pa…but anyway I cant pay my payday loan- and I already have bad credit- i cant pay it and I was wondering If I could go to jail- or if I will be facing court charges- I mean my daughter, fiance and I live from paycheck to paycheck- and my fiance has one too but she has one too in her name and she recieves SSI and she hasnt even recieved anything and she got it in November or October- I forget- she has one from paydayIsland.com and mine is from CashnetUsa.com
Anyway what will happen court, jail. or just bad credit- i already have been being harrased- thank god for caller id- please let me know- Im kinda paranoid!!!

Loans Guide answers:

No, they cannot put you in debtor’s prison as long as you did not commit fraud (actively lying on a loan). Even then it is unlikely you would go to prison for fraud.

EDIT: Fraud means you intentionally misrepresented yourself when taking out the loan. The lender cannot send you to prison, but they can file charges against you AND if a court convicts you, they COULD potentially send you to prison. For such a small amount, it is not likely you would go to prison nor would a court even consider hearing the charges.

Maria asks…

are payday loans outlawed in the state of PA?

can anyone tell me if they are?

Loans Guide answers:

No. I live in Erie, PA and there are a couple places you can get a payday loan

Steven asks…

people in pa please help..about payday loans?

if a payday loan company calls u and says they want their money the next day or half, they will take u to court, or they say u will be served later that week, has this happened..do u think they are trying to scare for there money thanks..dont they have to pay for airline fair and stuff like that as well
it was collections and can u go to jail for something like this

Loans Guide answers:

Unless you are extremely late, they have not done that and are just trying to scare you. This is the worst loan to get. They charge too much interest and harass people when they are late on payments.

Pay them as soon as possible and never do this again. They will send it to court if you become seriously delinquent (year or so), but if not, they will just continue to call and threaten you.

Helen asks…

Im in Pa; am near defaulton a online payday loan. I am getting outside agencies calling abt it. what to do ?

I am workingwith the lender but its a huge network of payday lenders that wants there money. I am trying to deal with the specific lender unitedcash loans I have been getting some threats from pepole saying they are attorneys .I wontgive theminfo over phone theygotmad isaid sendme it inwriting they got realmad i threaten to call attorney general .they hung up next steps……..

Loans Guide answers:

Are online payday loans even legal in PA?
Most likely it is not an attorney calling you, but their collection department.
If you do not pay , they will sue you

Lizzie asks…

i’m have about 4 payday loans that I’m in default with….my bills are pas due,i’m overwelmed?

my credit is bad and I just want a chance to consolidate and get back on track,no one will give me a loan….I don’t know what to do,what can I do?

Loans Guide answers:

You cant borrow yourself out of debt. It only brings you deeper in. I know you dont want to hear that, but those are the facts.

Think about it for a minute, you have bills that you are late &/or defaulted on, bad credit, & defaulting on 4 payday loans? Would you loan you money? Stop borrowing from all the various sources & just pay what you currently owe. You will only go deeper into what you are in! You need an influx of money not a new creditor to hound you.

Make payment arrangements, work extra hours, ask family & friends to help out & let them know you cant pay them right away, other wise you will have to add them to your list of collectors. Or contact a credit counseling company to help out. Either way, get rid of the payday places 1st. You will EASILY owe 10x what you borrowed.

Your Questions About Payday Loan Scams

November 25, 2011 by Loans Guide

Paul asks…

Are all of those payday cash loans sites scams.?

i have bad credit and need a small loan until next payday. i dont want to get scammed by somebody and pay back tripple the principal amount borrowed. Anyone have any sites to recomend?

Loans Guide answers:

It’s not a scam, but it’s incredibly stupid to get one from them.

I have no sites to recommend. If you need a small loan to last you until pay day, don’t go off the internet or head to a pay day or title loan site or location in your city. Notice where they are located–in the poorest part of town.

Talk to your family. Sell what you can. You can do without internet and TV for a month or two. If you need a loan to make it through the next few weeks, you need to learn how to budget. Until then, cut down what you need.

Mandy asks…

I am looking for a personal loan with low interest but I have bad credit?

Are there any legit companies out there other than the scam payday loans and such? Thanks to all who answer

Loans Guide answers:

Credit unions are more helpful than banks

David asks…

i applied for payday loans scam?

This morning i applied for a online loan for people with no credit from payday loans. i now realize this was a mistake. i never finalized the loan but it said i was preapproved. what can i do to get rid of this i dont feel safe now that they have all my information.

Loans Guide answers:

You are right to be leery. Call them. Record the time and date of the call and who you speak with. Request a supervisor, and tell them that you are not agreeing to their terms and that you do not waive your right to privacy. They can not share your info, by law, if you do not waive your right to privacy. (It is never to late to do this BTW, even if you signed something saying you did, you have the right to revoke that authorization at any time.) They are not going to remove you from their database, don’t ask. Once a request for credit is made, they must retain that info for a certain period of time, hope they respect the rules and treat you fair, if they don’t, find their regulatory agency (they have to tell you who that is if you ask) and report them.

Lizzie asks…

What payday loan is not a scam,?

I need to get one to hold us through until my refund comes back, I thought It would already be here but it is showing not until 2 weeks from now. Does anyone know one that isn’t a scam? We were relying on our refund to come back before now. I have a couple bills that have to be paid, then i will just pay it back when i get my refund. Thank you…Please answers from personal experience.
Thanks

Loans Guide answers:

LOL IT SOUNDS LIKE AN EMERGENCY TO ME! IS PAYING YOUR BILS NOT AN EMERGENCY?

Donald asks…

why do payday loan companys act as lawyers to take you to court?

can a payday loan company act as lawyers to scam you to go to court for an unpaid payday loan

Loans Guide answers:

A payday loan company cannot pretend to be lawyers. They may, however, employ a corporate attorney to collect on bad loans.

You would have to provide more information to get a better answer.
