Maria asks…

Where Can I get a guaranteed $ 550 loan today?

Trying to avoid payday loans. Any personal Lender that would get me the money today? Can pay back . Please I need to get to L.A by Sunday VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Loans Guide answers:

Get on a Greyhound but to LA and save some money there. Any quick loan place is going to charge you a fortune in interest. What could ever be that important? Have you called your folks and siblings? Perhaps your employer would give you an advance if you have a good work record. Learn from this and begin to save a bit every paycheck!

Charles asks…

How do I get in touch with this payday loan lender who keeps stealing from me?

About a month ago I applied for a payday loan from one company online. Several companies contacted me, and one actually deposited money into my account without me knowing it. I didn’t know who did it or how it even got there until 2 weeks later they sent an email and hit me with a $90 finance charge and I could see a name. I’ve called and left them messages, emailed, faxed, and even contacted the BBB with no luck getting in touch with them to plead my case. How can I get this resolved? Friday is payday and they sent me another email saying I owe another $90 to them in finance charges! This is going to put the total over $270 just in fees!! Should I just close my checking account? Contact the bank? I literally have NOWHERE to turn at this point…. The name of the company is Shoreline Online LLC,/ CWB Services. I can’t find any direct contact information for them. I need to get out of this by Friday! And if I withdraw all my money and put it in another account, wont that be an NSF on my current account then? Should I only do that if my current bank wont work with me?

Loans Guide answers:

This is exactly why a person should never use, or even apply for, an online payday loan.
Close your bank account asap, otherwise they’ll just keep debiting money. Be forewarned, this is going to be a real mess to clean up. Offer to settle this loan for the exact amount that they put into your bank account. Get all terms in writing before you pay, to include a letter on their letterhead stating that the account will be Paid in Full once the agreed to amount is received. Once you get this, send them a USPS money order. Keep the letter and a copy of the money order in your records forever as documentation.

For you reference, never give out your bank account and routing #’s when you apply for any loan.
If you gave out you SS# when you applied for this loan, then you need to keep a close eye on your credit report for ID theft. You can get a free credit report at http://www.annualcreditreport.com – This is the real free site to get your credit report once a year without a credit card.

Laura asks…

Isn’t a “Payday Loan” lender the same as a loan shark?

Or maybe even a drug dealer? The whole principle doesn’t seem acceptable. It clearly “preys” on the poor.

Loans Guide answers:

Yes, they are all scum.

Lizzie asks…

Are there really any true payday loan sites on the web?

I have been searching and searching for a payday loan, but the problem I am running into is either they state at the bottom of the page: *The operator of this website is not a lender.* or they don’t state it and then they send you to another lending site that says the same thing. I have only found two so far, but I don’t meet the requirements. The two I found want me to have had my checking account for 2 years or more, and they want me to have had my address for 2 years or more.

Loans Guide answers:

Yes, there are true payday lenders on the net, but I would advise against using them. The reason you are getting a page that says that the operator of the website is not a lender is because you are most likely entering your info into a page, and it is being directed to whatever payday lenders would be able to work with you and your situation. Those places are more like a headhunter of sorts, they find the loans for you. Getting into the payday loan cycle or trap isn’t a wise decision and maybe it’s a sign from the Universe trying to save you from going down a dark alley with your wallet out and a bunch of thieves looking to jump you.

Helen asks…

trustworthy payday loan?

my girlfriend is in financial trouble, we’ve tried everything. she owes her bank and has a police record, so they’re threatening to have her arrested. she did this once before, she better learn this time.

anyone know a trustworthy payday lender? i know there are terrible interest rates, we only need $150 and can’t find anyone to give it to us.
we cannot wait… i had to go on unemployment because i work at a college(winter break now) so i am not going to get paid till the 29th. unemployment hasn’t even kicked in still and i’ve been out of work since the 20th… her bank is trying to get her charged with fraud

Loans Guide answers:

I don’t care what the people on this site say. If you need the money, you need the money. But make sure you really do because payday loans do have steep interest. You also need to make sure you can afford to pay it back. These are questions you need to ask yourself. There are trustworthy lenders that can give you $150, just check out reviews of top payday companies before you decide to apply.

Your Questions About Payday Loans

Laura asks…

If I consolidate my payday loans will it affect my credit?

I’m in over my head in payday loans and Yes! I do know it’s a bad thing, problem is I need help and am looking to consolidate my bills and roll them into it. I know the bills on my credit will affect my credit, but will my payday loans show up? Do you recommend any companies?

Loans Guide answers:

You payday loans probably are not showing on your credit file. You can get a copy of your credit report and check (AnnualCreditReport.com).

However, if you had to resort to payday loans to begin with, you are probably going to have trouble finding a lender to give you a loan big enough to pay off those loans. The interest will be high but no where near as bad as that 600% range of payday loans.

Sandra asks…

Does anyone know what the laws on payday loans in Utah are? What are the consumers rights?

I recently went back to school and got some payday loans to help buy books and things now I am in a pickle and am wondering if I have any rights as the consumer…HELP

Loans Guide answers:

Most states have abolished ‘payday’ loan companies, so I’m somewhat surprised that Utah still allows them. Anyway, what you really want to know is this: do the Utah state ‘usury’ laws apply to me when I applied for a ‘payday’ loan. Yes, because Utah obviously allows these establishments the rights to do business, you are protected by usury laws; however, I suspect somewhere in the storefront you entered for this loan, you will find ((I suspect inconspicuously) a frame advising all clients of their rights. Usuary laws protect state residents by establishing a ‘cap’ on what payday loan companies can charge as interest. You might want to do an internet search for utah’s usury laws. There you will get the answer you’re looking for.

Ruth asks…

How can a find a loan, not payday loans with umm fair credit with a co-signer?

Loans Guide answers:

Sometimes you can get a personal loan from your bank.

Chris asks…

How to get help with Payday Loans Las Vegas?

I have payday loans, but I don’t have the money to pay them back due to recession. Is there any payment plans for customers?
Will they put me in jail or take me to court? Or will this just go on my credit report?

Loans Guide answers:

1. Tell the lender that you need to work out arrangements to repay in installments. A few states require lenders to provide extended payment plans (Alabama, Alaska, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Oklahoma and Washington). If your lender refuses to work with you, contact your state regulator to ask for help.

2. Stop lenders from taking money directly from your paycheck. Read your contract to see if you signed a voluntary wage assignment clause. If so, write a letter to the lender to revoke that agreement so the lender won’t be able to garnish your pay from your employer without court approval. Mandatory wage assignments as used in some payday loan contracts are prohibited by the Federal Trade Commission‘s Credit Practices Rule.

Hope this helps.

-Michael

Sandy asks…

Is there a consolidation loan to pay off payday loans?

I made a huge mistake in using payday loans to help pay bills during a rough time. Now I can’t get from under them and it’s hard to pay on my regular bills. My credit is 495 therefore it has been hard to get a loan.
Is there help for me? Once i can get these loans paid I can make the monthly pay’ts.

Loans Guide answers:

Yuck…payday loans stink. There’s a reason they’re popping up all over in lower income areas—they’re very profitable.

I’m sure there are loans that you could use to consolidate. I would try to get a 0% APR credit card, but you’ll have trouble with your marginal credit score–just like with any other loan.

You should consider selling assets–car, junk on ebay, etc to pay this thing off ASAP.

Your Questions About Payday Loan Lenders

Robert asks…

Does anyone know of a direct lender for online payday loans?

One with no credit checks. I can’t find direct lenders. All of them so far have been wishy washy.

Loans Guide answers:

Do this online and you will regret it so bad it will make you cry.
The online loan scam is easy to operate.
And scams are very popular

Donald asks…

Payday interest too much….?

I had to take out $2500 in payday loans to pay some emergency medical bills. The interest alone is going to cost me $550 each pay period (twice a month). I know all of the horror stories of taking these out, but I had no one else to get a loan from. I looked up several companies that say they can negotiate with the payday loan lenders, just like when you consolidate credit cards. I was wondering if anyone had ever heard of or knew anyone that had done business with PDL Assistance or Langhorne Debt Solutions. PDL Assistance told me that I could have these paid off in 10 months with a $230/month payment. They will email me the contract and I have to send them the form back that authorizes them to talk to my 3 lenders to negotiate the loans. They will also send me a form to take to my bank that will stop the 3 lenders from withdrawing any further debits from my account. They did not tell me to close my account. Any suggestions?

Loans Guide answers:

I wouldn’t use those consolidattors – they’ll ding your credit report and charge high fees.

If you’re really solid financially and can pay it off, I would try to get vetted by prosper.com and see if you can get a small loan to float this off – you may need to do one small loan and pay it off to show that you’re credit worthy.

Susan asks…

when a lender tells you that you need a voided personal check to get a payday loan how do you get it?

I have never had a payday loan before and I was wondering do I go by a check from the store and write void on it or do I have to stamp it or what do i have to do because I have no Idea.

Loans Guide answers:

You have to have a checking account in order to get a payday loan, so you would just write “Void” across one of your checks and present it to them.

Linda asks…

Where can I find a “hard money” lender for a personal unsecured loan, without being a payday loan. Need $4k.

Loans Guide answers:

IF YOUR CREDIT IS GOOD ENOUGH , YOUR LOCAL BANK .

I’ve bookmarked this site…

All the best to you.

Maria asks…

are big banks behind the proliferation of payday lenders?

payday lenders do not report to credit bureaus, big banks can keep you trapped in the turn down cycle, while still making money off you without approving you for a traditional loan, is this not a violation of the ecoa act of 1974?

Loans Guide answers:

Pay day lenders do report you to credit agencies. I have seen many people come into the bank to apply for a loan (auto, consolidation, personal, etc) and when their credit is pulled they have dozens of loans from payday lenders. No lending officer in their right mind would loan money to someone that uses a payday lender as they have proven they can not manage their income properly. Besides the fact, people using payday lenders typically don’t pay bills on time so their credit score is likely lower than average.

So, given the fact the credit score is lower and a payday loan is a derogatory credit note, lenders can deny traditional loans without violating the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.

My husband is in the Navy. Are there payday lenders willing to help military?

My husband and I just moved to a new duty station in Oak Harbor, Wa. I drove our 1st car here from san diego but it is expensive to drive. our 2nd car is a smart car and gets much better gas mileage. I just got a job at a casino and at the Navy exchange and I need to fly back to San Diego this weekend and get the car and get back to Washington by Tuesday morning. We need $400-$450 for the airline ticket and gas back to NAS Whidbey. We have talked to Pioneer Military Lending and Omni Financial and neither of them are in the Island and neither of them will be able to get the cash to us within 24 hours. Does anyone know of a walk in payday loan or cash advance able to lend cash instantly to military personnel? Its hard to find since the law was passed and most places do not lend to military.
Navy Releif said no. We had one with them 6 months ago and they say no more than one in a year

George asks…

Can title loans like the payday advance be report to the bureaus?

http://www.privacyrights.org/fs/fs6c-CreditScores.htm#4

I pay my bills on time, but in cash. Can I ever hope to get credit?

Fair Isaac has developed a new scoring model designed to score credit risk through “non-traditional” data obtained from various data vendors. This, the company claims, will make credit easier for the nearly 25% of the population that either has no credit file or too little information to benefit from traditional scoring models. The kinds of accounts covered in what Fair Isaac calls the FICO Expansion Score include deposits with a bank, records with payday lenders, and purchase payment plans.

I have a loan on my title and having trouble building credit. If the info on the link is true how do I get it reported.

Loans Guide answers:

1) The creditor has to be someone who participates in the credit reporting system. Some lenders do not. Most title loan companies probably do, but perhaps not all of them. I’ve seen some very small store front operations that probably don’t use the credit bureaus.

2) Ask the title loan company to report your payments. See what they say.

3) Get a free copy of your credit report at annualcreditreport.com. Pick an item that is related to the title loan or to any other loan and “dispute it”. Use the dispute letter as a way for you to self-report your good payment history.

Good luck.

Your Questions About Payday Loan Consolidation

Does anyone know of any online installment loans for people with less than perfect credit?

I am looking for more of a debt consolidation loan, not a payday loan. Any informed info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Betty asks…

Where can I find a debt consolidation loan w/ bad credit for about 10,000 dollars?

I need to wipe out everything quickly and show a good payment history. The debts are too old to get a traditonal bank loan. I have thought about the the online cash advance payday high intrest loans b/c I am more lkely to get approved . I am beginning to think it is worth it so that can repay an old debt to my college so I can graduate, finally obtain a regular loan to secure a home loan instead of paying out high rent as a single parent of three. Where can I get this sort of loan and do the ways out weigh the means in my case.

Loans Guide answers:

Try the website below and read it all. There are several links to debt consolidation loans for those in need of credit report repair and debt help!

I got my score up from 480 to 709 in one year with the help I got from this site! Debt consolidation is not a bad way to go if it means that you avoid bankruptcy and defaulting on your loans and credit cards!

Sharon asks…

What is the quickest way to payoff payday loans?

Other than not taking them out in the first place, what can I do to pay off some payday loans that I did when we hit a money slump…We are slowly getting back on tract otherwise (budgeting mortgage payments weekly, working with debt consolidation) but now these are hanging over our heads!

Loans Guide answers:

I was in the same situation about 6 months ago. It is very hard to get them payed off, they charge so much interest. I was lucky enough to sell a motorcycle I had and used a portion of that money to pay them off. I have vowed to not fall into that trap again.
It has been hard but I have managed to do it.
I am finally able to quit robbing Peter to pay Paul.
I am sorry I was not more help, but I wanted you to know you are not the only one that has had this problem.

Donald asks…

Should I get a loan to pay off the collections agencies?

Should debt consolidation loans be taken to pay off collections agencies, or should they only be used for paying off credit cards? I have debt of about 10,000 from medical bills and payday advances among other things. I want to pay off all my debts so my credit can start recovering.

Loans Guide answers:

Get a copy of your credit report. Consolidation is fine as long as your new annual percentage rate is going to enable you to save money in the long term. Make sure you do your home work on where you decide to get the loan. Sometimes you can negotiate with your creditors to get them to take a lump sum settlement. There are companies that will do that for you but again, be careful who you choose. Financial quagmires like we are in today makes the con artists come out of the woodwork. You might be able to get some sort of financial assistance on the medical bills.

Mandy asks…

horrible credit installment loan in canada?

need to get an installment loan in alberta canada.. unfortunately i have some money issues and because i really screwed up my credit when i was younger and i need to get a consolidation loan or installment personal loan to get it all caught up.. i can make the payments i just need to find somwhere willing to lend me..

payday loans are out of the question they are too small and they need to be payed back too soon.. i need something that is at least 3 months to a year

Loans Guide answers:

With horrible credit, you are not going to get a loan. Period.

And, whatever you do, do NOT contact any of the many spammers that answered your question. They will all want up front fees or will send you a counterfeit check and ask you to wire money back to them! You will be worse off if you believe their scam.
