Paul asks…

How can I find out if I have outstanding payday loans?

I know that I have gotten some online payday loans and didn’t pay them all off because of some personal problems that were going on at that time, but I would like to pay them off now, but I don’t remember who they were. Is there a way that I can find out if I have outstanding online payday loans?

Loans Guide answers:

Pull your credit report to see if anyone has you listed in default.

Richard asks…

How to get help with South Carolina payday loans?

I have 3 payday loans in South Carolina, but I don’t have the money to pay them back right now due to bills. Do they offer payment plans to customers with debt problems? Will they put me in jail or take me to court? Or will this just go on my credit report?

Loans Guide answers:

You will not go to jail but they might take you to court — with the interest that payday loans charge you had better get them paid off before you pay any other bills!!!

Charles asks…

If you have several payday loans and you close your account can’t they send a attorney to bring you to court

I have several payday loans. Its not that I don’t want to pay them, but I am getting behind on my other bills I want to know if there is someone or someplace I can go to so that I can consolidate these into one bill and cut down on the interest.
They were there when I needed them I just want a easy solution and not a broke one.

Loans Guide answers:

You will need a debt consolidtor that specializes in payday loans. They will probably need some collateral to secure the consolidation.
As far as closing your account, depending on what state you are in, you have left yourself open to bad check charges, ( I mean charges brought against you in a court of law) and the punitive damages thereof.
Depending on your contracts you are also open to direct garnishment of wages by the lender, or court ordered garnishment.
The longer you wait to work on a fix the worse the situation will become (and interest!!).
Good Luck

Donald asks…

I have too many simultaneus payday loans. How can I get out?

I have too many simultaneous payday loans out right now, and I don’t know if my credit is good enough to get another loan to pay them off. Does anyone know of a debt consolidation/loan program that could help me get out of this debt?

Loans Guide answers:

Debt consolidation programs will not help with payday loans. They won’t budge on the payments or interest rates.

See if you can get a credit card with 0% interest on balance transfers and pay them off that way.

If that doesn’t work, www.CashCall.com doesn’t look at your credit and you pay them once a month, not every payday.

Loans Guide answers:

I would advise that you contact your local financial instituition and they should be able to help you with the matter at hand

Chris asks…

I need a quick loan..?

Im in a bit of a cash crunch, i need cash fast… i keep trying to use online payday loans but none of them are lenders, they are all “third party” crap…do anyone know of any lenders, that can do quick loans..only about 400 to 500 dollars.

Loans Guide answers:

Pawn shops offer what you are looking for

William asks…

I need money now! Payday loan company?

I have been searching for a legitimate payday loan company online, but they are all scams that redirect me to another site that is asking for the same info again. I need to buy food and get some prescriptions. I don’t get paid until Thursday and I have no one to ask for help. I have used a payday loan in the past and it worked out fine, but the company closed down. If anyone knows of a legit lender, please let me know. I have nothing to pawn, unless I pawn my PSP2…..which I m going to look into right now.
I am in NY.

I have nothing of value (material-wise) except my playstation and my cats, lol
See this is the problem..From the answers here,it’s all spam. I guess there are not legit payday companies anymore….

Loans Guide answers:

If you have an account at a credit union, maybe you can get a payday loan from there. Or just pawn you psp2. Or borrow from your friends.

P.s. Pls dont sell your cats! =)

Richard asks…

has anyone ever used pdl services and if so are their services legit or is this just a rip-off?

I contacted them so that I could get my payday loans consolidated into a lower monthly payment and they want me to send them $200 just to get started. The way they explained it sounded good but I’m still stuck on this $200 initial fee they want me to pay them to contact the lenders on my behalf I mean I can do that myself. I’m asking anyone who’s done this is or know of someone who has to please let me know if this is a good service to use or not. I’ve read several different things some good and some bad please help. I have 3 online payday loans and the interest is killing me.

Loans Guide answers:

I would not do this. In my state we have a Consumer Credit Counseling that help people and they charge hardly nothing. You will only get in deeper. Call a credit union bank and let them tell you of a local group where you live. They charged me like 2.10 cents several years ago. Now as far as those pay day loans, there is not really much they can do to you. Either pay them off or take your money of the bank and stop taking their calls. I know that that doesn’t sound right to some people but they are crooks and I know this first hand. They really don’t want you to pay them off because this is the way they make their money. Thankfully we had a bank manger to fight them.

Maria asks…

How Can I Find A Loan Shark?

I am in need of a loan shark in Birmingham, AL. I have tried all other options & am now in a very bad situation. I am not talking about online lenders or payday lenders. I need the real thing. I would appreciate your help.
I would appreciate it if people did not reply to this question if they really don’t have an answer. I requested that I did not want to hear about online lenders. They are mostly scams.
Sunday Sunday, or whoever you are, don’t you realize that gates donald is a SCAM. All the lenders that have replied to this question, are SCAMS.

Loans Guide answers:

You do not want any online lenders, because in your own words they are a scam. You are right on that account.

But you also don’t want any any payday lenders. Is this because you don’t have a job and therefore can’t qualify? Payday lenders are at the bottom of the barrel as far as finance institutions are concerned and many charge outrageous rates, but at least they operate within the law.

Loan sharks charge you 5-10% interest. Oh, not as an annual percentage rate, but rather per week (interest rate = 260% to 520% per year). But Giovanni at 72nd and Federal will not give you any money unless he has verified were you live. If you then can’t pay him back within a week or two including that big interest charge, then he is going to give you a visit. He will ask you to pay him on the spot or he’ll break your bones. But where are you going to get the money in that short a time if you have no job? Maybe he is not going to break you bones personally, but he will be sending Tony by to do the dirty work. Tony also had no job and could not pay his loan back, so he went to work for Giovanni. It’s just a job for Tony, you know, nothing personal.

OK, you are at the end of the rope. Try a public agency and see if you can get a government handout. You’ll probably get it if you have a GOOD reason and it is for a GOOD cause. Otherwise, the best is course of action for you is to do nothing at all and let the chips fall where they may. I can guarantee you, the consequences are not half as bad than if you get a loan from Giovanni.

Susan asks…

Looking for a debt consolidation loan but been refused by all HELP?

Ok So Im really dumb and did alot of credit searching therefore there are alot of inquiries on my credit file. I had turned to payday loans and are now REGRETTING it terribly since now I end up with no pay left. Would like some help in trying to get a debt consolidation loan. I find it difficult because of my credit score but I find it ridiculous that I cant get a loan even though I have never had a payment not go through! HELP!
Appreciate all the help I can get from Australia. Thanks!

Loans Guide answers:

Looks like it is time to take another job, quit spending on anything except necessities and get the debt paid off.

You cannot borrow your way out of debt my friend.

Joseph asks…

How do I get a Debt Consolidation Loan but have extremely low credit scores?

So, I have been successfully paying down the debt that I acquired as a very dumb young adult. Now, that I have a great job etc…the only bad thing I have is CREDIT. I’ve started the process of re-building but need to know anything besides Prosper/Zopa etc to get a debt consolidation loan. I have about 6,000 in debt right now. Any advice will help. No payday loans that’s what put me in the hole a couple years ago! Thanks!!

Loans Guide answers:

Since you did not express what type of debt this is it will be hard to help you. But….

If the debt is from current credit cards. Make a list and call each one and tell them that you are trying to regroup and would they please work with you
and return any of the late charges,
would they lower or give you a year interest free,
and ask what they can do to help. And set up a reasonable payment schedule with them.

If this is a credit card that has been charged off,
I would

1) try to trace down who has the debt and see if they will take a settlement. Some times they will settle for as low as 10 to 20% of the debt and they it can be paid off. Use some pressure on them…they will settle if you are firm. There are several who will not settle.

2) totally ignore the debt, if it has been charged off the debt is sold to secondary account holders and they will resell them again and again and eventually they will leave you alone. You will have bad credit for several years but eventually with new good credit the others will go away. And there are ways to get the old ones off you report.

If your debt is with stores or other loans, call each directly and see what they are willing to do to help you. Make a deal with a reduced payment and 0 interest for a while.

Goodluck

Chris asks…

Consolidation loans for bad credit?

Ok heres the situation, I have bad credit, I make a steady paycheck, but my bills seem to add up so much I’m left with nothing to live off of, I cant get a payday loan because I’m military. I need a consolidation loan I pay about 1400 a month in bills right now, I need about a 14,000 loan thats it, and I can make high monthly payments like 500, 600, 700 maybe even more but it would be a huge help from 1400 a month because I just cant live off of what I have left is there anything I can do I’m stuck!
To add on to this I am military so since that wonderful new bill passed I cannot get a payday loan no matter what. I have also checked out several debt consolidation people you know the ones who don’t give loans but try and work with the people you owe and that wont work either because no one wants to budge on the payments we’re making to them now, and as far as the loans I have found to get no one is willing to give me anything that would even be worth my time I would be trading in maybe one debt I owe for another debt I need something that will pay all my debt and give me one lump sum to pay off every month

Loans Guide answers:

There are nation wide debt consolidation services that are available to all people that are in the armed services and whom are also experiencing financial problems, even if it’s management of funds, or perhaps finding a way of over coming a financial dilemma that you may be in currently. If you are in a position where it could be possible to make your minimum monthly payments, a debt consolidation program for military personnel can be the answer to your problems and save you from high interest rates, late fees, and other related loan fees.

Just visit – http://www.ezconsolidation.com/military_debt_consolidation.php
Hope it will be helpful to you.

Lizzie asks…

Where is a safe place to go online to find an unsecured personal loan for?

debt consolidation and/or to pay off all debts?

I am limited with SSDI and a very part-time job. I am $6000 in the hole and the hole keeps getting deeper. I want and can pay for one monthly payment to one loan office and have the loan to pay off all my debts and to start fresh. I don’t have anyone to co-sign with me. Does anyone have any suggestions of who I can contact for financial help??!! and it being safe and secure. Payday loans charge over 100% interest. THanks!

Loans Guide answers:

I would not trust anyone on line in this business. These companies are making millions by screwing over the most vulnerable in our society, who happen to be the least able to afford it.

My suggestion would be to go and join a credit union (like a bank) and start having your SSDI checks deposited there, then apply to them for your unsecured personal loan. The fees and interest rates will be real good for you.

Your Questions About Payday Loan Consolidation Companies

October 10, 2011 by Loans Guide

Helen asks…

payday or cash advance consolidation companies?

any companies that will consolidate numerous payday or advance loan companies?

Loans Guide answers:

You should go to your local financial institution to seek help. They may be able to help if your credit warrants it. Normally I require security on that type of loan.

Pay day lenders are the hardest credit to eliminate.

If the local lenders cannot help, contact your local Lutheran Social Services or Catholic Charities office. They have debt consultants who have had some success in paying these types of lenders off.

Daniel asks…

bill consolidation “loan” companies?

anyone know of loan consolidation company that would pay off back taxes, actually payoff not negotiate, actual loan, no upfront fees or the dreaded payday lenders

Loans Guide answers:

You can negotiate and work out an installment plan with the IRS. And that may be the better way to do it vs. Getting a loan.

Richard asks…

Payday loan help…please…?

Ok I know I have asked a similar question in a forum already but I’m freaking out.

Will I get in trouble if I’m trying to negotiate a settlement thru a debt consolidation company for payday loans? It’s not like I’m not trying to pay it, I just can’t pay the amount they request immediately.

The debt consolidation company had me close my bank account and open a new one so they can receive my money to try and make a settlement with these companies

I need some information. I’m worried and don’t know what to do. I have five payday loans…I would hate to file bankruptcy and I have no other choices but consolidation I just can’t pay them all in full or even renew them…

Loans Guide answers:

What do you mean by “get in trouble”? You won’t get in any more trouble than you already in, and you are in enormous financial trouble.

You can’t borrow your way out of debt. Your situation is only going to get worse. Payday lenders are vampires, and now that you have let them get their fangs into you they will bleed you dry at 400% interest.

Eventually, one of them is going to realize you cant pay everyone, and they will sue you and get a wage garnishment.

Get a bankruptcy attorney now, while you still can. An attorney must be paid before they will file your case, so you need to begin the process sooner rather than later.

Nearly all consumer bankruptcy attorneys offer free consultations. Take advantage of this to meet with one and get advice based on all of the details of your particular situation. You can find a referral at NACBA.org (National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys).

Sharon asks…

are there any debt consolidations or debt counseling companies for payday advance loans?

i’ve gotten myself in trouble with these places and can’t seem to pay them off. i pay them every week that they are due, and i’m never late and have been with them a very long time. when i’m done paying them i hardly have anything left from my checks to pay anything else. are there any places out there that help with paying these things out. also my credits not that good either because i’ve tried getting loans to pay them off but always get turned down. does anyone have any advise to help me with this situation.

Loans Guide answers:

Can you hold on for just a bit longer…you obviously work or payday would not have loaned you money in the first place…why not use your tax refund money to pay this off.

Ken asks…

is it possible to go with a debt consolidation company to help pay these payday loans off?

Loans Guide answers:

That really depends on the kind of debt consolidation programs you are referring to. Debt consolidation comes in many forms, such as credit counseling, debt settlement, debt consolidation loan etc. But as far as I am aware, not many of these options will not deal with pay day loans (except for maybe a debt consolidation loan, wherein you are applying for a another loan to pay off your current ones).

But don’t lose heart, there are ways to deal with payday loans. These small loans, also called “cash advance loans,” “check advance loans,” or “deferred deposit check loans,” are a frequent pitfall for consumers. A fee anywhere from $15-$30 per $100 borrowed is charged for an average loan of $300. With rates so high and the term of the loan so short there’s no wonder that a very high percentage of these loans are rolled over by the borrower again and again so that the accumulated fees equal an effective annualized interest rate of 390% to 780% APR depending on the number of times the principal is rolled.

The Federal Trade Commission offers a great Web page regarding payday loan alternatives at: http://ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/alerts/alt060.shtm

There are eight states whose payday loan regulating statutes requires lenders to set up an installment repayment plan if an account reaches the maximum number of rollovers allowed by law and the debtor declares that he/she is unable to pay the balance due.

Check out the payday loan information from the Consumer Federation of America for payday loan information (http://www.paydayloaninfo.org/), where you will be able to read all about these loans and the various state attempts to regulate them. Follow the “state information” link to find out the specific regulations for payday lenders in your state, and if you live in one of the eight states requiring installment payments.

If your state does require repayment plans, and the lender still won’t accept payments, call your state regulator of payday loans, usually an assistant Attorney General, and complain. You should get the results you want after the Attorney General’s office becomes involved.

If you are not in one of those states, you may want to consider simply making payments to the lender anyway to pay down the balance of the loan over time. In most states, the rollover limit will soon be reached, and the interest rate the lender can charge will be capped by state law. If the lender will not accept your payments, simply put what you can afford aside until you have enough money to either payoff the loan or to offer a settlement. Read the regulations in your state to find the best strategy for your situation.

I wish you the best of luck. I hope that the information I have provided helps you Find. Learn. Save.

Best,
Bill

Instant Payday Loan

January 12, 2010 by Loans Guide

It is known that there are not many ways that you can get some extra cash these days. Many people are no longer spending their money so they are not buying anything. This limits the things that you can sell for extra money. If you are really hurting for cash, all you need is an instant payday loan. This is one of the best as well as easiest ways to get a small amount of extra cash. Take a look at what you should know before you run off and apply!

The right amount of money that you need will need to be determined beforehand. Making sure that you know how much is needed is going to allow you to spend less time searching for a loan site. If your credit is really good, you could end up getting up to $1500. Of course, you should make sure that you can afford amount of money first.

Now all you need to know is how much you can actually borrow from one company. There are a few factors involved here. You need to look at how much money you may with every paycheck. You might have to add up all of your paychecks from one month to get a better idea. This is the number that you will provide to lenders in order to get your loan. You should also make sure that you pay every cent back on time.

This kind of debt needs to be paid off immediately. After you pay it off, you will be in good standing with the company. When you get in trouble again, you can easily get a payday loan! Simply make sure that you extend the loan in time or you simply make all over your payments when they are due to come out.

When all of the deciding factors are taken care of you can begin the search for your loan company. Getting a loan online is one of the best ways to get money in a hurry. You can apply with a company that will be able to get the money wired to you within 24 hours!

The application process is a very simple process for most people. As long as you have all of your information ready you should have an easy process as well. Sit down and follow all of the instructions on the application. They will ask for information such as your driver’s license number, social security number as well as proof of income. These are all needed to verify that you can pay your loan back.

After all of your information is provided you will need to read the terms of the loan. This is just an overview of what you are borrowing as well as the interest rates that you will pay. This is a small portion of money that is added at the very end. Once you read everything over and you approve you will electronically submit your application.
