Sandra asks…
If you get stuck paying back payday loans is there something you can do?
I have three payday loans and are all due at the same time. I know it was dumb of me, but I want to know if there is a way of getting help or what do you guys suggest I do?

Loans Guide answers:
Stop taking out payday loans. They are nothing more than government sponsored loan sharks. Learn to live within your means.

Helen asks…
Is it against the law to have more than two payday loans?
I have two payday loans with two different loan offices. Is this against the law? And can I place a payday loan on my bill consolidation plan?

Loans Guide answers:
No, it isn’t illegal. Though it really should be illegal to even have ONE. Those things are viciously predatory and exploitive. There used to be usury laws to prevent that kind of loan sharking. Don’t know what happened to those.
And yes, you can (and should) place that debt on your consolidation plan if you are consolidating.

Sharon asks…
Is it possible to do Debt Consolidation on payday loans while in a consumer proposal?
I’m currently in a consumer proposal with a remaining balance of $7000, I recently got my self cought up in 4 payday loans worth $2000 and i’m stuck in the payday cycle. My question is, is it possible to get a debt consolidation done on these payday loans while in my proposal. I can not get a loan anywhere because of the consumer proposal. Thanks

Loans Guide answers:
See http://www.esuperfind.com/lowermybills.php?id=nth they usually can help anyone, depending on location

James asks…
Any one know a bank that will give me a loan to consolidate a few thousand in high intrest payday loans?
Any one know a bank that will give me a loan to consolidate a few thousand in high intrest payday loans? I have fair credit, 620 score but my bank wont give me one and I prefer online providers any way.

Loans Guide answers:
The fact that you went to payday lenders in the first place says that the answer is no.

Mark asks…
What happens if you don’t pay on one of those payday loans?
My mom got 3 payday loans to pay for car repairs now she pays 1000 a month just to those 3 and cannot afford any of her other bills. She is on somewhat of a fixed income and I need to help her to stop her from working to death. I have told her just to stop paying them and let them take you to court? Is this good advice?

Loans Guide answers:
They will file a lawsuit against your mother to sue her for the amount due along with interest and all court costs. She signed a contract when she got the loans and the contracts are legal binding.
Since you are concerned with your mom working so much, maybe you can kick in some financial help in this matter?
Good luck! : )

Daniel asks…
is anyone aware of payday loan co. giving your bank info to third parties claiming you authorized debits?
I applied at a payday loan co. and 3 times I ended up with debits from my account. Twice was for $19 for applying but the kicker is when $49.99 was taken from my account for a secret cash card? I found out where it came from and they claim I checked yes to one of the boxes on a payday loan appl. authorizing this third party company to send a check through my bank ordering a secret cash card thats a prepaid debit card thats suppose to give me online privacy when purchasing and protect me from companies and people from getting my personal info. Now it seems like I need that very protection from the stupid people thats selling it or fraudulently debited my account! The bank told me that when I applied for the loan I authorized the third parties to debit my account for various things. My thing is If your applying for ONE thing such as a payday advance how can it’s friend tom who sells shoes, joe who sells dog food and mary who sells secret cash cards legially take that money out my bank ?
Besides if I needed to apply for a payday loan then I didnt have money in the first place for no secret cash card and the funny thing is I never even got the loan!

Loans Guide answers:
UHH?? I’VE USED SEVERAL OF THE RIPE OFF PAYDAY LOANS, BUT NEVER ENCOUNTERED SOMETHING LIKE THIS… YOU REALLY NEED TO CLOSE THAT ACCOUT AND OPEN A NEW ONE. IF NOT, EVERY TOM, DICK AND HARRY MAYBE GETTIN EM SUM FREE MONIES….. THEN PUT STOP PYMT. ON THAT CHECK AND MAKE PYMTS TO THAT LOAN COMPANY TO GET THEM PAID OFF…

George asks…
Can I take legal action against a website that stole my information and sold it?
The other day I was looking at payday loan sites (yes I know terrible idea) and I found one that interested me. I filled out the information they asked for (including my SSN and bank account number) and after I submitted it they immediately told me I didnt qualify. Right after that my inbox got flooded with spam. I get about 300 spam emails a day now. I also keep getting phone calls and texts that are just spam. Somebody also tried to access my bank account but the bank stopped them. I confronted the website via online live chat (their phones “are not currently working”) and they swear up and down they dont spam and that its not from them. It has to be though because I never got spam before that and a majority of the spam was for payday loans. I want to know if there is some kind of legal action I can take against this site. Hope somebody can help me! Here is a link to their website
http://personalmoneystore.com/Payday-Loans/
They stole it because it was a loan application. They sold it to a bunch of spam sites so yes, I would consider that stealing. Seeing as they do not provide loans and just spam you, I would consider that stealing.
Wow spammers are so fucking retarded. Im asking if I can take a spammer to court and I get a bunch of spam replies offering me loans. I hate the internet.

Loans Guide answers:
A couple of issues…
The website did not steal your information. You typed it in and gave it to them.
Was there anything on the application that stated that your personal information would not be shared with anyone else? Lots of sites will sell or share e-mail lists with other companies, resulting in spam mail.
The violation I see offhand is the attempted entry into your bank account. I do not know how detailed the records are that your bank keeps, such as the address/name of the entity that was trying to access the account. Also bear in mind that you gave the loan site your bank account number. Did you read all the fine print? There may have been wording in there stating that by giving them your account number you were authorizing them to access the account. You need to be very careful about throwing around that information.
I seriously doubt that your computer has been hacked. The issue started after accessing and leaving information on another site, so if anyplace was hacked, it would be the website.

Thomas asks…
When is the best time to file bankruptcy?
I am a 27 year old who has a great job, yet has found himself in trouble with STUPID payday loans. I have a finance degree and cannot believe i have found myself facing this taboo topic of bankruptcy. Though i make good money, i cannot pay off these loans nor my bills. i feel bankruptcy will enable me to afford the simple things…i.e groceries. i have a meeting next week, i feel its my only choice…yes, my debt is consolidated and thats not helping…and creditors still call my work

Loans Guide answers:
I’m sorry that you appear to be yet another victim of the “cash advance cancer”. With the new stricter predatory lending laws in place, protecting consumers the carnage left behind from these “sharks” should cease.
I can not advise whether it would be beneficial for you to pursue bankrupt.
I would recommend that you look into it as only a last resort – remember those laws have changed as well .
Your young enough to make a financial recovery that does not involve having that on your credit record potentially harming you more than a few paid collections that will disappear 3 years earlier that a bankruptcy – a without the stigma.
Meanwhile, I wish you well on your recovery from the shark bite.

Susan asks…
Will the bank tell a Payday loan company holding my check about my savings account?
Yeah I was dumb, the checking and savings where never tied together. The payday loan tried to force it open, before the due date of the check, so I closed out the checking account, yes I have to pay them but not thru my savings account? The payday loan co. is not giving us the time they promised, an never tell you of the hidden costs, the savings is to pay for new teeth, when my dental work is done, which is $700. the Cardiologist told me I needed this done, for the teeth are causing damage to my heart an blood chemistry,I’ve already paid half of dental work,I must use the savings accuont to complete the dental work, would the bank tell the Pay-day loan co.about the savings account? Is the bank requried to tell them? plzz need your help, thank you, very much.

Loans Guide answers:
I honestly do not think the bank can legally give your financial information to anyone or place of business without a conscent form signed by you. Unless while applying for the loan you signed an agreement to have your savings withdrawn in the event of nonpayment of the loan. (which I doubt considering it deals with checking accounts and not savings). The only account number the payday loan co has is your checking and you since have closed it. I will tell you that by not paying the loan you have created a big problem for yourself. The payday co has a legalized document signed by you and your promise to pay. It will go to court and it will cost you BIG TIME!!! They then will cease your savings and possibly garnish your wages by holding a judgement against you. This happens every day to many people who end up in the payday loan trap. Be smart and don’t let it go this far. You will end up paying three times the amount of the loan including late fees and court costs. As far as the unknown hidden costs you speak of. When applying for the loan you should have gotten a reciept or paper explaining the costs, interest, and the due date.

Maria asks…
Where Can I get a guaranteed $ 550 loan today?
Trying to avoid payday loans. Any personal Lender that would get me the money today? Can pay back . Please I need to get to L.A by Sunday VERY IMPORTANT!!!

Loans Guide answers:
Get on a Greyhound but to LA and save some money there. Any quick loan place is going to charge you a fortune in interest. What could ever be that important? Have you called your folks and siblings? Perhaps your employer would give you an advance if you have a good work record. Learn from this and begin to save a bit every paycheck!

Charles asks…
How do I get in touch with this payday loan lender who keeps stealing from me?
About a month ago I applied for a payday loan from one company online. Several companies contacted me, and one actually deposited money into my account without me knowing it. I didn’t know who did it or how it even got there until 2 weeks later they sent an email and hit me with a $90 finance charge and I could see a name. I’ve called and left them messages, emailed, faxed, and even contacted the BBB with no luck getting in touch with them to plead my case. How can I get this resolved? Friday is payday and they sent me another email saying I owe another $90 to them in finance charges! This is going to put the total over $270 just in fees!! Should I just close my checking account? Contact the bank? I literally have NOWHERE to turn at this point…. The name of the company is Shoreline Online LLC,/ CWB Services. I can’t find any direct contact information for them. I need to get out of this by Friday! And if I withdraw all my money and put it in another account, wont that be an NSF on my current account then? Should I only do that if my current bank wont work with me?

Loans Guide answers:
This is exactly why a person should never use, or even apply for, an online payday loan.
Close your bank account asap, otherwise they’ll just keep debiting money. Be forewarned, this is going to be a real mess to clean up. Offer to settle this loan for the exact amount that they put into your bank account. Get all terms in writing before you pay, to include a letter on their letterhead stating that the account will be Paid in Full once the agreed to amount is received. Once you get this, send them a USPS money order. Keep the letter and a copy of the money order in your records forever as documentation.
For you reference, never give out your bank account and routing #’s when you apply for any loan.
If you gave out you SS# when you applied for this loan, then you need to keep a close eye on your credit report for ID theft. You can get a free credit report at http://www.annualcreditreport.com – This is the real free site to get your credit report once a year without a credit card.

Laura asks…
Isn’t a “Payday Loan” lender the same as a loan shark?
Or maybe even a drug dealer? The whole principle doesn’t seem acceptable. It clearly “preys” on the poor.

Loans Guide answers:
Yes, they are all scum.

Lizzie asks…
Are there really any true payday loan sites on the web?
I have been searching and searching for a payday loan, but the problem I am running into is either they state at the bottom of the page: *The operator of this website is not a lender.* or they don’t state it and then they send you to another lending site that says the same thing. I have only found two so far, but I don’t meet the requirements. The two I found want me to have had my checking account for 2 years or more, and they want me to have had my address for 2 years or more.

Loans Guide answers:
Yes, there are true payday lenders on the net, but I would advise against using them. The reason you are getting a page that says that the operator of the website is not a lender is because you are most likely entering your info into a page, and it is being directed to whatever payday lenders would be able to work with you and your situation. Those places are more like a headhunter of sorts, they find the loans for you. Getting into the payday loan cycle or trap isn’t a wise decision and maybe it’s a sign from the Universe trying to save you from going down a dark alley with your wallet out and a bunch of thieves looking to jump you.

Helen asks…
trustworthy payday loan?
my girlfriend is in financial trouble, we’ve tried everything. she owes her bank and has a police record, so they’re threatening to have her arrested. she did this once before, she better learn this time.
anyone know a trustworthy payday lender? i know there are terrible interest rates, we only need $150 and can’t find anyone to give it to us.
we cannot wait… i had to go on unemployment because i work at a college(winter break now) so i am not going to get paid till the 29th. unemployment hasn’t even kicked in still and i’ve been out of work since the 20th… her bank is trying to get her charged with fraud

Loans Guide answers:
I don’t care what the people on this site say. If you need the money, you need the money. But make sure you really do because payday loans do have steep interest. You also need to make sure you can afford to pay it back. These are questions you need to ask yourself. There are trustworthy lenders that can give you $150, just check out reviews of top payday companies before you decide to apply.

Sharon asks…
Has anyone tried Cash tree lenders? The pay day loan company?
How are they? I just need 300 dollars this month and I will pay it off in full next month when I get my check. I’ve heard so many horror stories about payday loans and I want it to be as cut and dry as possible. The most I would be involved with the company is a month to receive funds and pay it immediately back.

Sandy asks…
Payday loan ..is it possible to get more then $1000?
most of these payday loans limited to $1000 and some direct lenders can give up to $1500.is there any payday loan company that provide more?

Loans Guide answers:
Not that i’m aware of. Best bet is to call around and ask. I would think a lot has to do with your weekly pay.

David asks…
I want a loan and not a payday loan and I have bad credit.?
I don’t want a site that finds me a lender I want to work with an acutal lender.

Loans Guide answers:
What type of loan are you looking for? Frankly, looking for a lender online is not a good idea. There so many scammers out there preying on folks with bad credit. You really are better off going to a local bank or credit union. You may not qualify for a loan but at least you won’t be paying up front money to a scammer or exposing your personal info to ID theft.

Charles asks…
Does anyone know a lender who does personal unsecured loans for bad credit that is not a payday loan.?

Loans Guide answers:
Bad credit loans can be difficult to get – but not impossible.
Try these three companies.

Thomas asks…
How do I find a loan shark?
I am desperate for a personal loan for some significant legal fees for my husband’s custody case. We both have extremely poor credit, and the timeline is too small to have time to save up. My husband would just like to get a loan through a “shark,” but not a payday loan – like a personal lender. Any LEGIT suggestions welcome. Our credit scores are too low for prosper.com.

Loans Guide answers:
Are you crazy? Do you REALLY want to do it?
The best way to do this is to ask your attorney to let you pay in installments. If this particular attorney wouldn’t do it for you, find another one. Many attorneys will ask for some amount upfront and then you pay the rest in installments. Usually they do it without charging you any interest, but if you offer to pay reasonable interest, they’ll go for it.
Of course, we are talking about normal, regular lawyers, not some very high priced “legal eagles.”

payday loans…. Not check loans sorry.?
I got two payday loans and you have to write a check without money in the account to get them. My bank closed my account because they charged me over $285 in overdraft fees for a $10 preauthorization. I am fighting with the bank over this as it should not have happened. In the meantime the two checks that are in payday loan will be deposited to my account. Since it is closed I want to know how much trouble I am going to be in. I do not have the money to pay them in full.

James asks…
I have bad credit..Payday loans messed up my bank account. I need money by Monday 5/14/07 help?
I need aloan to pay off my childrens tuition, pay my summer tuition, and reregister my girls for the fall. I have a great job, but had a family crisis( oldest daughter got Lukemia) and I had to pay for treatments til Medicare was approved. I had a few payday loans, payng on time, until one of them went in a day early and tried to get their entire balance. That was not the arrangement, and they messed up my account, which caused a trickle down effect on every other account that was ACHed from that account. Not to mention the bank bounce check fees. I am working on getting those items corrected but now I need $4000. Any idea where I can look…fast. Without this last payment, my daughters will not be able to take finals and they will have to repeat the entire grade. I can verify all I have said. Please no scam artist saying they can give me a loan at 3% knowing they are going to charge me for living in the US and you will never see the money. ( They are on report now)
Did you read the part about the bad credit. I need lenders almost like loan sharks that will lend to anyone, like me with bad, terrible credit. I am considered high risk. I need a lender who will give me a chance despite my credit score.
Let me express something. I have no family, part of my debt comes from the house that was forclosed on when I had my stroke, and I loss everything in it, and the payday loan thing. With that said, it is not that I run up debt, I live in a cheap 1 bedroom so my girls could go to that school, and yes I will take a semester off if I have to. The point is I still have to pay their tuition for this month and register them, or they will loose their spot. They are twins and they were born with problems so I have to keep them in this school or they will fail ( i’ve tried public it was like pre school they are 14.) Also as far as identity stealing, I work for the government agency that lost the hard drive with all the employee information. I asked for ideas not criticism if you read the post you will realize that I don’t live large or beyond my means, I just have to live and keep my kids alive ( cancer kid… hello) My sneakers are 4yrs. old please.
You see what I mean about the scam artist??? Jeff Norberts one of them.

Loans Guide answers:
Wow word inc that is really tough, I cant begin to even try to understand what that is like, email me at anieves_89@yahoo.com if you can, I cannot say that my method will get you the money by the 14th, but it might help you out in the long run, take care

Susan asks…
What can I do to get $560 by Monday without borrowing or loaning it? I have a job, just no work. Please help!?
I received a letter from the prosecuting attorney, a 10 day notice that criminal charges will be filed against me unless I pay this debt by the 17th of December. This couldn’t have come at a worse time. I am in construction work and the past few weeks have been slow and my savings have been used on necessities. I have bad credit and no checking account so payday loans are not the answer. My family and relatives are also struggling financially so they cannot help either. All that I can do is pray and put this out there and maybe someone can help me figure it out. Thank you.

If you own the title to your car you could go to a title loan company. Good luck.

Donald asks…
Where can I get a payday loan without …?
Having my paycheck DD? And also being on the job for under 6 months. I have a checking account.

Loans Guide answers:
By my experiences, and alot of serious research, you should only work with established, land-based, payday lenders. Many of them also have on-line sites.
Additionally, do not, never ever, borrow from more than one payday lender at a time. This is how many people get into trouble with payday loans, by over extending them selves beyond the qualified amount given by a lender. Http://www.americaschoicetoday.com/Payday-Loan.html

Jenny asks…
Can I default on Internet payday loan without wage garnishments & prosecution?
I live in NM & I am on the verge of total financial collapse with payday loans. I am on the verge of being homeless. I read on this forum an previous answer from Badonkadonk & the answer was to close my bank account & to take control of my whole check. I think I cannot be prosecuted in NM. What will happen if I do close my checking account, thus not allowing ACH payments & opening up another account. What if I choose to default completely? Will it be reported to the credit bureaus? Will I be forced to pay no matter what? I need some good answers please. I am desperate.

Loans Guide answers:
Well, your in a pickle, and no mistake.
One problem is Most banks won’t actually let you just close an account. Most require a 1 month waiting period after you tell them you want to close your account and sign the paperwork. They do this specifically to prevent what your doing-closing an account from which payments may still be owed or sought. But you can try it…
They’ll keep coming after that money…
I’m not sure what you can do at this point, a lot of people have become homeless like this lately…
